Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Erceipt mobile application, the website at https://erceipt.com, and the API (together, the "Service"), operated by Taurel ("Erceipt", "we", "us"; see Section 2).

By creating an account or using Erceipt, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If the age of digital consent in your country is higher, that age applies. We do not offer the Service to anyone younger.

Erceipt is operated by Taurel, obrt za usluge, owned by Danko Mudrinić and registered in the Croatian Craft Register (Obrtni registar).

We are not registered for VAT (nije u sustavu PDV-a).

Erceipt lets you photograph or upload receipts, extract merchant, item, and price information using on-device and cloud-assisted recognition, store that information and a compressed receipt image, search it later, and set a reminder before a warranty date you attach to a receipt. It is a personal record-keeping tool only.

Erceipt does not:

• verify any warranty, return right, price, tax, or serial number with a retailer or manufacturer;
• act as insurer, warranty administrator, tax advisor, accountant, lawyer, or consumer-claim agent;
• guarantee that a reminder will arrive, be noticed, or prevent a missed deadline;
• guarantee that extracted text (merchant, items, price, dates, serial numbers) is complete or correct;
• replace the original paper or PDF receipt as legal, fiscal, or evidential proof.

Always check the original image before a claim, return, tax filing, or dispute. Reminders are best-effort. If you use Erceipt in a business, you remain solely responsible for fiscalization, archives, tax, and consumer-law duties; we do not take those on.

You need an account to use Erceipt. You can sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple (iOS). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential. Tell us immediately at support@erceipt.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You own the receipts, photos, and data you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you — extraction, sync, backup. We do not sell Your Content. We do not use it to train our own models beyond extracting data from that specific receipt. To read a receipt, a compressed image and related text are sent for cloud extraction to Google's Gemini API. Google processes this data as our processor, under Google's paid-service terms and data processing terms. Under those terms Google does not use the data to train its models. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for making sure Your Content does not infringe anyone else's rights and does not contain unlawful material. Do not upload receipts that are not yours to keep, or that contain someone else's personal data without a lawful basis. If you do, you are solely responsible for that processing.

Free features. Photo capture, manual entry, the vault with your full history, on-device search, monthly reports, categories, business/personal tags, return and warranty reminders, the "Expiring soon" list, the claim PDF, demo mode and shrinkflation headlines (with one full proof a month) are free. Free accounts may also get a small monthly number of AI scans; the current number is shown in the app.

Trial. New accounts get a free trial with all Pro features. It currentlylasts 7 days and includes 10 AI scans; after the trial the Free plan includes 5 AI scans a month and Pro up to 200 a month. The current limits are always shownin the app before the trial starts. The trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself. When it ends, Pro features lock; everything you already saved stays available.

Erceipt Pro. Pro is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. It adds AI receipt scanning with a monthly allowance, AI search, the full price-change report and shrinkflation proofs, price comparison, and tax export (CSV and PDF). Before you buy, the app shows the final price in euro (or your store's local currency) as the total you pay. Taurel is not in the VAT system, so we charge no VAT. Any VAT shown is charged by Apple or Google as the seller where they act as seller.

Changes to Pro. We may change Pro's features or allowance only for these reasons: changes in law, security needs, changes by our technical providers (e.g. Google, Apple), material changes in our costs, or improvements to the Service. We will tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and the change will cost you nothing extra. If the change negatively affects your access to or use of Pro, other than in a minor way, you may terminate Pro free of charge within 30 days of the notice or of the change taking effect, whichever is later. If you do, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period. Contact support@erceipt.com and we will handle the refund with you and the store. Price increases apply only from your next billing period after the notice, and you may cancel before then.

Billing, renewal, and cancellation. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us, under their terms. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting your Erceipt account does not cancel a store subscription.

Refunds and withdrawal. If you are a consumer and withdraw within 14 days of purchase, you get a full refund. See Section 6A (Right of withdrawal). Refunds are processed through Apple or Google. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Your right. If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a Pro subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract is concluded (the day of purchase). This also applies if you have already used Pro during those 14 days.

How to withdraw. Send us a clear statement, for example by email to support@erceipt.com or by post to Taurel, obrt za usluge, Ulica Emanuela Vidovića 9, 10090 Zagreb, Croatia. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. You may also request a refund directly from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (Order history). To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your statement before the 14 days expire. We will confirm receipt without delay by email.

Full refund. If you withdraw within 14 days, you get a full refund of the amount paid for that subscription period, with no deduction for the time you used Pro. We will reimburse you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal. Where Apple or Google is the seller, they process the refund and we will help you. Refunds use the same payment method you used, at no cost to you. Pro access ends when the withdrawal is processed. Everything you saved stays available in the free version.

Free trial. The free trial costs nothing. The right of withdrawal applies to the paid subscription.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service, including automated bulk use of extraction outside normal personal use.
• Upload malware or content designed to disrupt the Service.

What we moderate. Your vault is private and not shown to other users. We do not review content proactively. We act only on notices, on orders from authorities, or when we detect abuse of the Service (e.g. automated bulk use, malware). Automated tools are used only for usage limits and security, not to assess the legality of your content.

Reporting illegal content (notice and action). Anyone may report content they believe is illegal by email to support@erceipt.com with the subject "DSA notice". Please include: (a) why you consider the content illegal; (b) information that lets us locate it (e.g. account email or receipt ID, if known); (c) your name and email, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material; (d) a statement that you believe in good faith that the report is accurate and complete. We confirm receipt, decide diligently and objectively, and tell you our decision and the available remedies.

Statement of reasons. If we remove or disable content, or suspend or terminate your account, we will tell you, at the latest when the measure takes effect, what we did, why, the facts and the term of these Terms or law relied on, whether automated means were used, and how you can contest it. Exceptions apply only where the law forbids notice (e.g. an authority's order). You can contest any decision by replying to support@erceipt.com, and you may also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.

The Service depends on third parties we do not control: EU hosting for the API and files; Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting); Google Sign-In; Sign in with Apple; Google Gemini for cloud extraction and product matching; Apple App Store and Google Play for subscriptions; Resend for mail. Their outages, errors, policy changes, or data practices are described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for those providers' acts or downtime beyond what mandatory law requires.

The Erceipt name, logo, app design, and underlying software belong to Taurel, obrt za usluge, vl. Danko Mudrinić or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free operation. We may interrupt the Service for maintenance, security, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including hosting, mail, Google, or Apple). Extraction and reminders may fail silently.

Extracted data is generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or invented values. We do not warrant fitness for a particular purpose, that a warranty claim will succeed, or that a reminder will prevent loss. You use extracted data and reminders at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taurel, obrt za usluge, vl. Danko Mudrinić is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profit, lost data, missed warranty or return deadlines, denied claims, tax or fiscal consequences, or third-party outages, arising from your use of the Service — even if we were told they were possible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including Croatian consumer-protection law, liability for intent or gross negligence, or death or personal injury where exclusion is forbidden. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep every mandatory protection of your country of residence.

If you use Erceipt as a consumer, you are responsible under the general rules of Croatian law for damage you cause intentionally or through gross negligence by unlawful use of the Service, for example by uploading other people's personal data without a lawful basis. No broader indemnity applies to consumers.

If you use Erceipt for business purposes, you will indemnify Taurel, obrt za usluge, vl. Danko Mudrinić, for reasonable, proven damage and third-party claims that arise directly from Your Content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except where the damage is caused by our intent or gross negligence.

You can stop using Erceipt and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@erceipt.com. On deletion, your content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account only for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful use, a risk to the security of the Service or other users, or an authority's order. Where possible we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the issue, and we will always give a statement of reasons as described in Section 7. If we discontinue the Service, we will give at least 60 days' notice, let you export your data, and refund the unused part of any prepaid Pro period.

We will confirm a consumer's written complaint without delay and respond in writing within 15 days. If we cannot resolve a dispute, consumers may refer it to an alternative dispute resolution body: Centar za mirenje pri Hrvatskoj gospodarskoj komori (Mediation Centre of the Croatian Chamber of Economy), Rooseveltov trg 2, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, mirenje@hgk.hr, hgk.hr/centar-za-mirenje. We are not obliged to participate in ADR, but we will consider participating in good faith. The European Commission's ODR platform was closed on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. You can always go to the competent court.

We may change these Terms only for a valid reason: changes in law or regulatory guidance, changes to the Service (new features, discontinued features under Section 6), security, or changes by our technical providers. We will notify you of material changes in the app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect, with a summary of what changes. If you do not agree, you may close your account and cancel Pro before the change takes effect. Section 6 applies to any prepaid period. Changes that only benefit you, or that are required by law at shorter notice, may apply sooner. We will not treat silence or continued use as acceptance where Croatian consumer law requires your express agreement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia and directly applicable EU law. Disputes will first be handled informally — contact us before pursuing a claim. If you are not a consumer, the courts in Zagreb have jurisdiction unless mandatory law says otherwise. This does not limit a consumer's rights or the courts they are entitled to under mandatory law.
